1. Tyres & Spare
Check tyre condition, pressure, and alignment. Carry at least one full-size spare. Consider all-terrain tyres for better grip on rocky roads.
2. Engine & Oil
Get the engine serviced. Top up or replace engine oil, coolant, and brake fluids. Cold weather can affect engine performance.
3. Brakes & Suspension
Make sure your brakes respond well and suspension is solid – Ladakh roads are rough and unpredictable.
4. Battery & Lights
Test the battery health. Roads can get foggy or dusty, so make sure headlights, fog lamps, and brake lights are working well.
